Match report We bowled and fielded well but didn't have enough firepower in our batting. That about sums it up .

On the bowling front 3 wickets for Naveed Ahmed is worth a mention as are tidy spells from Mark Telkman, Dave Ashton , Rehane Al-Huq and Andy Saunders . Pace off the ball was very much the order of the day, there was no joy for the quicks on a flaccid Clarence Park wicket.

Birthday boy Ciaran Walsh continues to improve with ball and bat and once again showed decent skill.

Excellent wicketkeeping from James Thompson, particularly standing up to the stumps is also worth a mention in dispatches.

Batting-wise, a couple of players got a start with Andy Knill-Jones (17) , Naveed Ahmed (37) and Harvey Scott (19) all threatening to push on but failing to capitalise and apart from a late cameo by Rehane Al-Huq (17) everybody else had a mediocre time in the middle.

Well short and well beaten at the end then but positives to be taken from the bowling.......
