Match report
A great game for everyone involved started with the new skipper, Zac Tarrant, winning the toss and electing to bowl first, with Tom Bentley and Prath opening with the new ball.

The pair bowled 6 overs each, with both of them collecting 1 wicket for minimal runs. Tom Cocks and David Ashton were then brought on, with Tom Cocks getting 2 wickets in 5 overs, and Ashton getting 1-16 off 8. Zac then got a wicket, with Fin Mcnab delivering a superb spell of leg spin, snagging 3 wickets off 5 overs, leaving slow left armer Jack Benjamin to wrap up the tail.

Youngster Lucas Berry and Siva Battula opened the batting for the Club XI, however 2 quick wickets left Saint Albans needing someone to stick in. Matt Shadwick and Mohammed Jaleel combined to provide some resistance, but more importantly picked up quick singles to get the team back on track. After Matt was bowled, Jack came to the crease, with his intent made clear, as he hit a 6 early on in his innings. Soon after however, he was bowled, to leave Zac and Mohammed to put on a crucial partnership, as they set up the run in for the Saints.

A wicket fell close to the end of the innings, which meant Prath had to stick around to support Zac for get a well-earned 13 not out, with Zac ending on an excellent 43*.

Overall, a good display by everyone involved, but a special mention to Fin McNab, who bowled beautifully to earn his wickets. Credit also to Siva and Lucas, who both had to wicketkeep for the team at short notice for 20 overs each and who both did a really good job behind the stumps
