St Albans Cricket Club 3XI v Holtwhite Trinibis II on Sat 20 May 2006 at 1.30pm
St Albans Cricket Club Won by 69 runs

Match report On a wet wicket, a relatively low scoring game was always likely. Saints reached 141 thanks to good work at either end of the innings. Ethan Fogarty and Steve Ferguson laid a solid foundation and, with wickets in hand, allowed Nick Kirwan and Uttam Vijender to gather quick runs at the end. All St Albans bowlers bowled tidily but only eked out the top half of the Holtwhites batting order. Only on the introduction of the two spinners, Eddie Hughes and Simon (have boots will travel) Galloway did the wickets start to fall at a rate quick enough for victory. A good performance all round, but more runs may be needed from the middle order under different circumstances.
