Match report Saints visited the beautiful village of Preston and kip lost the toss and were put to bowl. Preston openers had a solid start and we going almost 4 an over for the first 20 overs and then cam the first breakthrough when Amit got C Cole bowled on 51. Saints immediately put some pressure back on with 2 quick wickets and slow down the game.Then came James Dempsey whose pace talked when he got 4 quick wickets towards the end and ended up with figures of 4 for 29 in 10 overs. Preston put on a decent total of 212 in 53 overs.
Openers Adam Hounslow and Charlie Parkinson gave a decent start however quick 2 wickets did not make Saints stop. Michael Goodfellow played a great knock of 53 with some good hitting and a huge six along with Stuart Murray who added quick 24 runs. However Saints lost both the set men and still needing 45 runs from 7 overs but only 2 wickets in hand.Then came the trump card Joe Button along with skipper who managed to put the pressure back on opp with some great hitting towards the end. Joe showed no fear and took on the opp with great shots and in the end Saints won by 2 wickets.
