Hi All
We hope you are well and looking forward to the new season . Spring is in the air, the pitches are looking good , we’re opening the outdoor nets for training soon (more about that shortly) and there is now less than 6 weeks to the start of the league campaign on May 8th !
When you log into the club website at www.stalbanscc.com now you will see details of this season’s subs options in a pop up box. If for any reason you don’t see this please click on the ‘pay subs’ button on the top menu.
As part of our continuing drive to move towards cashless payments you can now pay your annual subs online.
We are anticipating a full season of fixtures in 2021 and adult member subs options are as follows :
· All inclusive - £150 subs, no match fee
· Standard - £75 subs + £5 per match fee
· Reduced - £50 subs + £7.50 per match fee (best suited for players who will only play occasional matches)
There is a £10 discount for any subs paid before 01 May - this discount will be £5 for students / unemployed.
Subs for players in our women’s section are as follows:
· £50 subs + £5 per match fee
There is a £5 discount for subs paid before 01 May (£2.50 discount for students / unemployed)
There is a 50% discount on the all-inclusive, standard and women’s rates available for students /unemployed, but this does not apply to the 'Reduced' subs option.
Any discounts or lower rates do not apply to members who are currently furloughed .
If you decide to take up a student or unemployed rate we will ask for proof that you are eligible for this discount . Please do not click on this unless you are eligible, we will check and you would only be taking money away from the club.
Anyone who does not pay their subs before the start of the league season on May 8th will automatically be moved onto a £15 per match basis.
We do also have a hardship scheme at the club for anyone suffering particularly serious financial issues, which might otherwise prevent them playing cricket. If you would like to discuss this in complete confidence please contact Andy Saunders on: andy@velocitypr.co.uk.
I’m sure it goes without saying that the last year has been very challenging for the club financially – we still have significant fixed costs to pay to remain functioning and it is incumbent on all of us to contribute our fair share. Remember, many clubs have closed in recent years because of lack of funds so let's not let that happen to us.
We know times are not easy at the moment and we have reflected that by keeping the amount payable as low as possible, so please make an effort to pay your subs promptly as this will help the club to remain viable.
All fixtures, including some pre-season friendlies, are now up on the website so you can start to update your availability if you wish – it’s never too early!
Best wishes,
St Albans Cricket Club
