Match report On a warm but windy day at SLCG on the Astro, St Albans lost the toss and were placed into bat. Manny Nisar (58) & Zak Tarrant (24) got St Albans off to a watchful start seeing off the opening bowlers building a platform for 50 without loss from the opening 20 overs. Both wickets fell after drinks allowing Nick Ralfe and Harvey Scott freedom to bat. Nick was watchful of the bowling, sweeping a ball from middle stump for six on his first ball. Both Nick (51) and Harvey (62 not out) battered the bowling, smashing boundries to all sections of the ground with one over going for 22 runs. Both batsment were supported by a watchful innings from Marcus Cunnington on his first game of the season. St Albans finally scoring 236 from 40 overs (186 scored from the last 20 overs) showing the importance of setting a platform.

St Albans bowled and fielded to a high standard with Marcus Cunnington showing sharp work with the gloves. A good opening spell from Harvey Scott & Andy Saunders set the tone, pushing the run rate up further. N2 never looked like achieving the desired rate with accurate bowling and sharp fielding increasing the pressure on each N2 batsmen. Wickets were shared around from the 8 bowlers used. The pick of the bowlers being Syed Naqvi, Dave Ashton & George Pelham all taking 2 wickets each. Overall, a simple victory for St Albans winning by 122 runs.
