Match report Phil Caley won the toss for the 3rd time in a row and decided to put Langleybury in on a damp looking wicket. O'Toole, opening the bowling with White exerted early pressure with O'Toole taking two wickets in his first two overs. White bowled unchanged for 25 over to finish wtih figures of 3 for 44, an excellent sustained spell of accurate seam bowling. Both O'Toole and Caley gave great support together with some excellent fielding restricted the away side to only 135 for 7 from their full entitlement of 58 overs.
Raza Chaudrey, elevated from the 2nd XI opened the batting with Edbrooke. Despite timing the ball well Chaudrey couldn't peirce the inner field and was caught trying to cut a short ball. Triniman got started, but for the 2nd week running got out when looking set. Ex-County Captain Nick Gilbert joined Edbrooke at the wicket and got off the mark with a cut for 4. From that point on he looked for scoring opportunites whenever he could and with Edbrooke working the ball around with ease, the pair moved the score ever nearer the target. The winning runs came with plenty of over to spare and a comprehensive first win of the season was duely completed. A good all round effort by the team and a significant improvement form the last two weeks.
