Match report Back to winning ways with a 130 run victory over Wormley. After losing the toss the 3s were asked to bat on a very damp wicket. The openers found batting very difficult but Richard Little weathered the storm after being dropped on 0 to score a fine 90. Using the slip drive and the inside edge to good effect, Wormley found it impossible to set a field to him. Conditions eased as the day went on and the rest of the 3s batsmen all contributed to the total of 204-8.

Fate dealt a cruel hand to Wormley as it seemed that St Albans had the best of the batting conditions. As the pitch dried out, the top deteriorated with Naveed Mohammed scoring a technical knock out on one of the openers. He failed the beat the count and retired hurt with a cartoon like egg on his head. Wickets fell at regular intervals and Wormley were soon all out for 74.

A good team performance with everyone making a contribution.
