Match report Details to follow, when I have checked that Steve Divich, Sunesh Ladharam and Graham Budd provided the figures I have been supplied with ??!!!

For a while it looked as though the rain would ruin the game but enough time was available for St Albans to return to winning ways. Two superb innings by Steve Ferguson (59) and Graham Budd (60*) and a rapid 21* from Nick Kirwan allowed an early declaration.

A good start was put on hold by more rain and, with footholds being very slippery, slow bowlers were the option. Sunesh Ladharam took his first league wickets but it was the wily off-spin of Steve Divich which heralded the rapid downfall of Old Cholms' resistance.

A good all-round performance.
