Langleybury v St Albans Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI on Sun 08 Sep 2002 at 1:30
St Albans Cricket Club Lost Lost by 53 runs

Match report A bit of a end of season madness type match. Started off as 45 overs a side, but after 35 overs was changed to 20 overs from 6.15pm. Halfway through the 2nd innings it became a 45 overs a side game.
Up until the final few balls any result could have been possible. In the end, St Albans were all out for 111 in the 45 over when Baz Atkinson (aged 150) ran out Jeff Harber (aged 149) by 21 yards 11 1/2 inches.

Good bowling and fielding restricted a strong Langleybury side, which included Herts County player Cliff Spinks and several League 2nd XI players, to just 164.

However St Albans quickly lost wickets and were always up against a strong and accurate bowling attack.

Anyway, a good game was had by all concerned to end a long season.
