Match report A good team performance, with early wickets falling, it was left to Monty Hussain and Luke Edwards to steady the ship. Monty was finally bowled for 58, but Luke continued his fine Sunday form, with 114, before being stumped.

Jaffer finished of with 58, and was backed up by the lower order who all chipped in, to take St Albans to a massive 294.

Jaffer and Nick James opened the attack, and it was quite clear from early on, that the opponents were always going to struggle to keep up with the rate.

Despite G Wise, who seems to score runs against anyone, the Clarendon target was always behind the rate. Raza came into his own, along with Andy Fleming, as the ball turned a long way.

Dropped catches seemed to be the order of the day, but it was never going to make any different. Despite Raza 'trying' to run after the ball, when he really should have been shot and put down, the score only slowly moved forward.

Jaffer pulled off a fine catch to desmiss the dangerous Wise, but the game was soon over, when Simon Fretter came on and took three wickets, all bowled, to finsh the game.

Clarendon finshed with only 9 batsmen, as two became injured during the game, and could not bat. A pity Raza couldn'y have fallen to the same fate.

Anyway, a fine win sees the St Albans side into the promotion places, with one game remaining.
