Match report After fixture congestion at Knebworth’s ground, the match was played at Clarence Park and turned out to be another game that was performed in good spirit and hopefully enjoyed by both teams.

St Albans won the toss and elected to bowl first. Some tidy bowling from Jaden Solomons during the innings (4 overs for 7) and Talha Turk (4 overs 1 for 7) kept the runs down but Matthew batting at 3 for Knebworth played some lovely shots to work his way to retiring at 33. The Knebworth girls managed a ‘spurt’ of runs towards the close of the innings Isobel (13NO) and Phoebe (8) adding critical runs. However, Hashim Awan was once again in his element took his 3rd wicket of the match by bowling out Pheobe. Knebworth finished on 78-4.

As Lorna struggled to get off the mark and despite Turks’s valiant effort late on with a well played 24, St. Albans were kept to scoring low runs by the opposition. Charlotte 4 overs for 5 runs, Amie 3 overs for 3 and Catherine 3 overs 1 for 2 were the standout bowlers for Knebworth who all performed superbly. With Joel Mickinnon’s 11 to support Turk, St Albans came close and finally finished on 66-3
